Are the classes safe for my 5 year old?
Taekwondo is safe for all ages, especially at the beginner level!

Who will be teaching the classes?
Master Michelle will be teaching the classes. Learn more about her here.

Where are the classes being held?
The Westchase Park + Recreation Center (Multipurpose Room in the basketball court) and the Northdale Park + Recreation Center (Mini Gym Building B).

What are the benefits of Taekwondo?
Signing up for Taekwondo isn’t only a fun after school fitness program for your child. It also means that you’re signing up for:
- Taekwondo training from a former Guam National Team Athlete;
- A sport and lifestyle that your family will experience for a lifetime (Taekwondo is forever, and a martial art that you can take with you well into adulthood and even during your senior years!);
- An identity in a martial art that students can write about in their college essays, grow alongside likeminded peers, and work towards on their individual journeys to Black Belt and beyond;
- A safe place where they’ll be mentored for beyond just one school year or one sports season – Taekwondo is a year-round activity that is beyond varsity, junior varsity, team tryouts, and seasons. They’ll be mentored by Master Michelle for months and years to come! This continuity is great for community and for true growth.
- A new hobby that includes exercise, stretching and flexibility, strength and conditioning, and martial arts mobility;
- A unique skill that you can master and grow in for the rest of your life. It’s also an amazing backup or side career that your child’s talent can expand in!​

My kid is really athletic. Are there any opportunities for tournaments or competitions?
YES. Once your child is ready, opportunities to compete are everywhere and ready for you!
Master Michelle has coached Guam delegations in international tournaments for Poomsae (traditional forms) and local students at Gold Medal Martial Arts for competitions. She's guided athletes in training and coaching at all levels, bringing home medals with great Gold, Silver, and Bronze results at every age division!

Can I enroll alongside my kid?
Yes! We have special pricing available for the third family member.

Can I drop off my kids or do I have to stay and watch?
There are chairs available, but you can drop them off, too!

I see a lot of masks in these website photos. Does my kid have to wear masks?​
Never! These photos were taken during COVID in the San Francisco Bay Area, when it was mandatory.
